FBR Notices and Tax Appeals

A notice from FBR has a deadline. Send it to us as soon as you receive it and we will help you understand it, reply properly and, if needed, appeal.

About FBR Notices & Appeals

FBR can issue notices about returns, withholding, sales tax, audits and unpaid tax. A late or weak reply often makes things worse, and an order passed against you can add tax, penalty and surcharge.

We read the notice, identify the section and the period it covers, collect the documents that answer it and prepare a clear written reply. If an order goes against you, appeal routes exist, starting with the Commissioner (Appeals) and then the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue, and our legal advisor supports you through the process.

Common Questions

Short answers about fbr notices & appeals.

What should I do first when I get an FBR notice?

Note the date you received it and send it to us right away. Notices have strict deadlines, and missing them limits your options.

Can I ignore a notice if I think it is wrong?

No. Ignoring a notice can lead to an order against you. Even a notice that is wrong needs a proper and timely reply.

How long do I have to appeal?

Appeal time limits are short and fixed by law. Send us the order as soon as you receive it so that nothing is missed.

Will you represent me at hearings?

Yes, within what the law allows for authorised representatives, and with our legal advisor where legal representation is needed.
